What we track
- Daily mention totals — number of articles globally that match each query, in 15-minute buckets aggregated to UTC days.
- Baseline statistics — rolling mean and standard deviation over the prior days (excludes today).
- Spike detection — flag when current 24h ≥ baseline_mean + 2σ.
Why watch it
Narrative momentum often leads markets and policy. A 2σ spike on a UAP-adjacent query without an obvious news event is itself information.
